The walnut wood comes from plantations in central United States, mostly in areas of natural hardwood forests that are privately owned by families or individuals. The foresters that manage these plantations only fell a small number of trees each year in line with harvesting management schemes enforced by the local governments. After harvesting, the areas are reforested with new walnut saplings.
The makers of these ring boxes contribute to the following reforestation trusts:

Absolutely beautiful, this was my 4th purchase from Gardens of the Sun and I decided to gift my mother in law with a beautiful birth stone set for her babies. She had tears in her eyes when she opened in and has not stopped wearing it. Thank you so much for the attention to detail!
I got a custom rose gold sapphire ring to propose to my partner. Once she started wearing it, one of the stones fell out after only 2 weeks of wear (she takes it off for dishes, work, showering, exercise) so she is pretty gentle on it, given that it is an engagement ring intended to stand the test of time. The seller agreed to fix the problem, but will only reimburse for $20 of shipping costs. Given that I am shipping from the US, shipping it all the way to Indonesia with any kind of insurance to make sure the ring is protected is a bit expensive. I would have hoped that they would have taken more responsibility for the ring breaking so quickly, and overall am disappointed with the quality of the craftsmanship. Hopefully the stones stay in place the second time around.
Unrelated to this specific listing, my partner also ordered an engagement ring for me from Gardens of the Sun. It has yet to arrive despite being ordered about 11 weeks ago (and being told it would take 6-8 weeks). We keep begging for progress updates and getting sparse details. I understand that making a ring from scratch takes time, but if it is going to take longer than intended, it would be nice to get updates. Most people plan a proposal with a specific time in mind!
Overall, I wish we had gone elsewhere for our engagement rings. The stones themselves are beautiful (if they stay in the ring, that is) and I am still hopeful that we will both get our rings someday and all the money we spent will not be for nothing, but the experience as a whole has been stressful and full of hiccups- especially for something so expensive and intended to be fun and special!
Sovi was so helpful throughout the whole process of choosing the stone. I was looking for a particular blue-green hue and she proposed the most stunning one-of-a-kind opal to me. She’s a real gem!
This company is so wonderful. They ensure that you are receiving exactly what you had envisioned and hoped for. They also check in with you before and after you receive the item you purchased to make sure it is as perfect as can be! It was really helpful receiving the high quality photos of the ring once it was finished being made, on and off fingers, which helped to picture it on my own finger. Thank you so much! I love it
