ecommerce operations manager

You're a marketing geek who knows the importance of authentic, personable marketing and how to develop campaigns that turn interested visitors into loyal customers. As the Ecommerce Manager, you’re in charge of everything related to selling and promoting our products online. This includes creating ads, planning marketing strategies, maintaining the website, and finding ways to sell more, attract new customers, and keep our existing ones coming back.


You'll use your marketing expertise, strategic storytelling and market research to create a digital presence that leads to meaningful results - more revenue, broader reach and significant growth.


Expected start date: August 1st or September 1st 2023 latest

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Plan marketing promotions and marketing calendar

  • Draft, create and execute email marketing content - campaigns that will resonate with real people, not just tick off marketing boxes. 

  • Create frameworks that transform our social media into highly profitable platforms

  • Lead our creative team by setting clear expectations, giving detailed instructions, and creating an inspiring environment that encourages top-notch work 

  • Content strategy, including determining shot lists for photo / video content and editorial shoots

  • Drive more traffic; Use Google Analytics and other website analytics tools to inform SEO strategy, plan blog content and backlink building

  • Optimize the user experience; Keep our website up-to-date, user-friendly, and secure

    Oversee and execute strategic site AB tests to improve KPIs, revenue and overall customer experience

    Optimize navigation, collections, search, and homepage

    Review security and effectiveness of checkout pages and payment procedures

  • Grow sales; Analyze website performance, identify opportunities and implement strategies to grow sales

    Strategically plan product collections, pages, content updates, and homepage features based on inventory needs and marketing priorities

    Pass on sales-related metrics to inform restocks to the Production Team

  • You're a number cruncher who makes decisions backed by data to inform marketing strategies and drive sales.

  • You’re a problem solver who's not afraid to roll up your sleeves, experiment, pivot, and try again 

  • Your attention to detail is borderline scary, and you can juggle multiple priorities simultaneously 

  • You constantly question how to improve and what the audience reallywants

  • You have a creative flair and can develop innovative marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences.

  • You’re fluent in digital marketing and familiar with html, CSS, Shopify, Google Analytics, SEO, Meta and Klaviyo (or will be quick to master it)

  • You thrive in the rush of a startup, can roll with a little chaos and aren't shy about learning new tech

  • You're motivated by tight deadlines and fast turnarounds, but also understand the value of thorough planning 

  • Put simply, you live and breathe marketing

  • You stay up to date with e-commerce trends and are always eager to learn more

  • You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in marketing or business, have experience in ecommerce and digital marketing, and a track record of driving sales
