The most notorious, famously famous of all the crystals – the diamond is the April birthstone and a hell of a fighter. It’s a crazy powerful stone that enhances inner vision. Diamonds make happiness a million times better. It’s a stone to bring forth the art of “more”. Whatever you feel inside, a diamond amplifies it tenfold.
Ethically Sourced Diamonds
The single-cut diamonds have been mined in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, by artisanal diamond miners. They have also been polished by hand in the same province.
We call these diamonds ethical because they're beyond just conflict free. Mined by artisanal miners, we know not just the country of origin and cutting location but can trace their origin down to the region.
The diamonds used in this jewelry have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions. These diamonds are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds. Our supplier guarantees that they are conflict-free and traded in accordance with the Kimberley Process.
Recycled sterling silver
We use recycled silver from Umicore. This company is listed as a Conflict Free Smelter by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMA), Chain-of-Custody certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), and complies with the LBMA Responsible Ag Guidance. We opt for recycled silver as an interim solution while we look into setting up a traceable supply chain for artisanal, pollution free silver.

Both rings I ordered were what I expected but I really appreciated the handwritten tags and informational inserts. The box was also lovely and I love that it's made of recycled banana leaves!

This company is absolutely amazing. I decided last minute that I wanted a wedding band made in addition to my custom engagement ring. I sent the ring back a few months later, and it got lost in the mail. Their customer service was AMAZING. They provided updates as soon as they got them, they reached out to everyone to find my ring, and let me know when it arrived safely. They completely suppressed my anxiety around the whole situation. They ask questions when crafting instead of making assumptions, and even sent progress pictures. I could not be more thrilled with Gardens of the Sun and will definitely be telling everyone I know about them! In addition to all this, I got to support a women run company with the same environmental views I have. It is so cool to have a story behind my beautiful, one of a kind, wedding ring and I could not be happier with the end result! They even sent a little gift at the end of the whole journey! 10/10 recommend.

I ordered a custom sliced diamond ring and another ring for my engagement ring and wedding band. There was great communication throughout the process of my rings’ creation and when it arrived it was beautifully packaged and you could tell there was love and care put into this order. I would definitely recommend purchasing a piece of jewelry from Gardens if The Sun, and plan to purchase more myself! These awesome ladies worked with me from the beginning and even worked with me when I made an oops and had to change things around. They were very accommodating and flexible to my needs and I couldn’t be happier with the end result!!
