When

We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or promotion, sign up for our newsletter or respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail.

What

We may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information when you place an order. You may, however, visit this site anonymously. We also collect information about gift recipients so that we can ship out the jewelry. The data of your gift recipients is not used for marketing purposes.

Gardens of the Sun uses "cookies" to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to the website. See the header "cookies" for more information about this.

We may use the information collected from you in the following ways:

Protecting your information

We want to keep your personal information safe. That’s why your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place an order or access your personal information, we use a secure server to process your data. This means all sensitive or credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted to only be accessed as stated above. 

Sharing your information

Your information may be shared for specific purposes with the following data processors: Shopify, Google Analytics, Stripe, Paypal, Gmail, Calendly, Klaviyo, Aftership, Judge.me, Privy, Gorgias and the postal services we use. Keeping your information

We’ll hold on to your information for as long as you have your account, or as long as is needed to be able to provide the services to you, or in the case of any contact you may have with our customer service team for as long as is necessary to provide support, for reporting and trend analysis.  

We use cookies on our website. For instance, our service providers use cookies to remember and process the items in your shopping cart. They're also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. 

We may contract third-party service providers, such as Google Analytics to assist us in better understanding site visitors. These service providers are only permitted to use the information collected on our behalf to help us conduct and improve our business. 

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. If you turn cookies off, you won't have access to many features that make your site experience more efficient and some of the services will not function properly. 

Our store is built using Shopify. In general, this third-party provider will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to sell our products and services to you. You can see the details of the information collected and used by third party providers in the table above. However, all third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to read their privacy statements to understand how they use the information we are required to provide to them. 

We may also include third party links on the website. When you click on these links, they will direct you away from this website. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies, so we have no responsibility or liability for the content and privacy practices of other sites.

No longer loving our emails? No biggie. Hit that unsubscribe button at the bottom of any email to one-click unsubscribe. If you place an order, need a password reset or create an account we'll still email you so you know where it's at. 

To delete all of your online account information from the database, sign into the "My Account" section of the website and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses & payment information. 

Please note that we may maintain information about individual sales transactions in order to service that transaction and for record keeping about past orders.

We may change this page from time to time, to reflect how we process your data. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you on this page or by some other means of contact such as email, so that you can review the changes before you continue to use Gardens of the Sun. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like subscribing to our newsletter, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
