Between the foothills of the gracious Mt Kilimanjaro and the small town of Arusha lies a small patch where local miners unearth precious tanzanite. Our tanzanite is mined in the Merelani Hills of Tanzania, the only place on earth where tanzanite is found. 

This gemstone was discovered in the late 1960s, so tanzanite is a relatively new gemstone.
