Opal is a rather soft and porous stone. Please be mindful with exposure to sunlight, soaps, lotions, chemicals and any cleaning agents as this may affect the stone.
Since January 2022, all hidden gems rings with opals are oxidized on the inside of the band, behind the opals. This darker backing helps bring out more vivid colors of the opal. The oxidation may wear off over time.
