Meet
This diamond slice was mined in Botswana and then laser cut in India. It's translucent with a pattern of inclusions radiating outwards in various shades of grey.
The diamond slice itself measures 8.2 x 6.4 mm. It's like a tiny lens changing how you look at the world, a full and open heart ready for what is. It's flanked by 3 pale salt and pepper diamonds on each side.
The diamonds are securely set in 18 karat gold. This gold was responsibly mined by indigenous Dayak women in Central Kalimantan, who receive a premium for their gold in exchange for using low impact techniques that are free of mercury and cyanide. This company is absolutely amazing. I decided last minute that I wanted a wedding band made in addition to my custom engagement ring. I sent the ring back a few months later, and it got lost in the mail. Their customer service was AMAZING. They provided updates as soon as they got them, they reached out to everyone to find my ring, and let me know when it arrived safely. They completely suppressed my anxiety around the whole situation. They ask questions when crafting instead of making assumptions, and even sent progress pictures. I could not be more thrilled with Gardens of the Sun and will definitely be telling everyone I know about them!
