What's a birthstone?
A birthstone is a gemstone that represents someone's month of birth.
Rumor has it that each stone gives the person wearing it special powers. Whether it is for luck, love, prosperity or health; wear your birthstone like a talisman. Or, wear the birthstones of your loved ones, to keep them near even when they're far.

Single gemstone stud earrings
- Your birthstone will be wrapped in a classic bezel setting or an open bezel setting. The open bezel setting is only possible for stones from 4mm and up. Our smaller birthstones like turquoise and ruby can only be set in a classic bezel setting. You can find the sizes of all our gemstones in the birthstone chart.
Multi gemstone stud earrings
- Tower stack earrings: Your gems will be stacked on top of each other - like a tower. Select your birthstones from top to bottom. This design is for 2, 3 or 4 birthstones.
- Curved stack earrings: Your gems will be set in a playful row at a slightly curved angle. It 'climbs' up the ear when worn. This design is for 2, 3 or 4 birthstones.
- Pyramid stud earrings: Your gems will be joined together to make a triangle - like a pyramid. Choose one gem as the main stone, and the other 2 or 3 birthstones will be set on one side. This design is for 3 or 4 birthstones.
The price will be automatically adjusted depending on the number and type of stones you choose. E.g. diamonds or more expensive gems have a small price increase.
Once you’ve narrowed down your preferences, we'd happily send you some images of design suggestions and potential layouts to help you decide which one is the best for you. So don’t be shy andgive us a shout!
We'll help you along the way with photos
Before we start crafting your earrings, we'll send you a mock-up with the layout and stone placement for you to confirm. You can still request changes at this point to make sure the ring is exactly what you've always dreamt of.
You'll receive photos of your earring(s) once it's done, to make sure it's exactly how you envisioned it and you are truly, madly, deeply in love with it. Then, and only then, will it leave our studio and make its way home to you.
Our signature ethical gold
We use 18 karat eco gold, which is mined and processed with traditional, mercury-free low-impact practices by indigenous Dayak women in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, who receive fair pay.

As your custom birthstone stud earrings will be made to order, there's a production time of 8 to 12 weeks.
Yourjewelry will be made especially for you. We don’t accept returns on custom orders.

This is the second piece I have from Gardens of the Sun (the first was a gift sent by my mom). I ordered a custom birthstone ring with two gemstones, and from ordering to delivery, every single step was a delight. The ordering process (selecting stones and style) was fun and easy. The GotS team communicated clearly and often about the progress of the ring, and sent beautiful photos of the finished product for my approval before shipping. Shipping automatically includes signature delivery, which I opted to waive so I didn't have to be home (I trusted the package would fit in my mailbox and be safe there if I wasn't home when it was delivered). And the ring is gorgeous and fits perfectly!
