Custom Polki Diamond Ring

Each polki diamond is cut by hand instead of machine. It’s old world and a little wild. You’ll see tiny chips, soft pits and edges that don’t follow the rules. That’s the charm: no two polki stones are the same. Some look like ice, some like smoke, some like the belly of a sleeping volcano.

Our polki diamonds come from Banjar in South Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo. They’re mined in small batches, traded fairly and cut with care. Designed in Bali, handcrafted in Jogjakarta. A fully Indonesian diamond ring!

Your Polki Diamond Ring Design

Each polki diamond has a few facets over the top, but is rough on the sides and flat on the bottom. Your polki diamond ring won't perfect or flawless. That’s the point: it’s honest, slow made, yours. Polki diamond prices depend on the size and clarity of the stone, but the value lives in the story it carries.

Diamond setting

• Classic bezel setting with the silver all the way around the diamond
• A prong setting with claws that hold the diamond

Your diamond can be set vertically (North to South, long side up) or horizontally (East to West, long side aligned with the ring band).

Band shape

• Half round band, flat on the inside and rounded on the outside, for a comfortable fit. Around 1.8 mm wide.
• Round band, this band tends to spin more and is not recommend if your knuckles are wider than the part of your finger where the ring sits. Around 1.3 mm wide.

Additional small stones in the band (gold only):

• Plain band, no additional diamonds
• Small salt and pepper diamonds from Botswana
• Small sparkling white Canadian diamonds (G-H color, SI clarity) - you choose how many

The diamonds used in this jewelry have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions. Based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds they are conflict free and mined in accordance with the Kimberley Process.

Personalize it with engraving

For diamond rings in gold, we offer complimentary engraving up to 24 characters on the inside of your gold diamond ring to personalize it even more. This is only possible for half round bands, as the round bands are too dainty, and can be selected in the dropdown menu.

Recycled sterling silver

We work with a local refiner who recycles silver from post-consumer sources, like old jewelry, silverware, and even silver recovered from x-rays and other medical waste. This doesn’t stop new silver from being mined (most silver is a byproduct of other metals anyway), but it does cut emissions by about 8x compared to newly mined silver. And it keeps what already exists in circulation, instead of letting it go to waste.

Our signature ethical gold

We use 18 karat sustainable gold, which is mined and processed with traditional, mercury free low impact practices by indigenous Dayak women in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, who receive fair pay.

Our 18 karat white gold is alloyed with palladium. This white gold has a warm gray color. If you prefer that white metal look, we recommend adding rhodium plating for $50.

How we make it

Handmade

Your polki diamond ring will be made to order with a production time of 6 to 8 weeks for silver and 8 to 12 weeks for gold. Since we'll make it especially for you, we don’t accept returns.

Free mockups beforehand

You can get up to three free mockups for your ring before we start making it. We’ll show you different layouts and diamond placements so you can see what feels right. You can tweak the design until it matches your vision. No surprises, just a ring that feels entirely yours.

Pictures when it's done

Once your custom ring is finished, we’ll send photos before it ships so you can make sure it’s everything you imagined. Please make sure our emails land in your inbox and not your spam folder to avoid delays.
