Metal

You can choose from 18 karat yellow gold, rose gold or white gold. We use 18 karat ethical gold, which is mined and processed with traditional, mercury free, low impact practices by indigenous Dayak women in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, who receive fair pay. Our 18 karat white gold is alloyed with palladium. This white gold has a warm gray color. If you prefer that white metal look, we recommend adding rhodium plating for $50.

Setting

You can choose between a bezel setting, which has the gold all the way around the stone and a prong setting, where small claws hold the stone. Not sure which setting is right for you? Compare bezel vs prong setting here.

Want to add some extra sparkle? Pave diamonds in the ring band can really elevate the look of your ring. Choose between salt and pepper diamonds (the rebellious budget option) or white diamonds (G-H color, SI clarity).

Conflict free diamonds

The diamonds used in this jewelry have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions. Based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds they are conflict free and mined in accordance with the Kimberley Process.

Gardens of the Sun goes beyond conflict free. Since our sourcing policy came into effect in November 2018 we only purchase diamonds from known origins. We avoid sourcing diamonds from Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Russia (last purchased in 2019), Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.

EMR03 - 0.28 ct, measures 3.1 x 6.2 x 2.0 mm, radiant emerald cut emerald in mint green, this emerald is royalty with a twist. More Jasmine in disguise jumping on the rooftops of Agrabah than the princess sitting in her lonely castle. Sourced from Colombia. T he cut is a radiant Emerald shape that brings out some beautiful glitter to this eye catching mint green color. The clarity of this stone is VVS. This is excellent, especially for Emerald, which tends to be riddled with inclusions. Cut in Colorado, USA, by AGTA Spectrum Award winner Kosnar Gem Co.
EMR04 - 0.55 ct, measures 3.8 x 7.1 x 3.0 mm, a radiant emerald cut emerald from Colombia. Tilt it vertical and stud the band with tiny white diamonds for everlasting ice to keep you cool. Bright mint green color. The clarity of this stone is VVS. This is excellent, especially for Emerald, which tends to be riddled with inclusions. Cut in Colorado, USA, by AGTA Spectrum Award winner Kosnar Gem Co.
EMR05 - 0.34 ct, measures 4.9 x 4.9 x 2.8 mm, a well seasoned emerald from Brazil, this round emerald would go great with the warm tones of yellow or rose gold. Perfect for a social soul who loves to surround themselves with love and laughter.
EMR12 - 1.30 ct custom cut emerald from Muzo, Colombia. Measures 8.2 x 5.6 x 4.3 mm. Light green color. Translucent with some visible inclusions, reflecting light like a piece of seraphic glass, this stone is fit for the confident queen. Rectangular cushion cut by Abraham Gomez of Exotic Gemstones.

The most unique wedding set

I dreamed of owning a hexagon diamond ring by Gardens of the Sun, years before my proposal. When it became my time to design my custom set, the team could not have been more helpful in creating a unique piece of wearable art. Maharani suggested a silver wedding band with blue sapphires to compliment my hexagon salt & pepper diamond ring set in gold - and while I had not originally envisioned my gold ring with a silver band, I was truly blown away by the end result! The rings just fit together so perfectly, and compliment each other in the most gorgeous way. I get compliments daily on how beautiful my ring set is! I've never seen another set quite like mine, and I love it even more knowing that it was designed specifically for me. Two rings, a story, and a lot of heart.

Like every good love story, we wanted our wedding and engagement rings to be unique and true to the love that inspired them.
