Your custom necklace design

Design a custom birthstone necklace that feels personal from the very first sketch. You dream it up, we bring it to life. Each necklace made to order, by hand, just for you.

Will you create a family birthstone necklace or a mother's necklace? You just need to know the birth month(s) to get started.

You can choose what length you need and personalize it even more by adding an engraved coin or tag with initials, a name, date or short personal inscription.

Choose your style

Each stone will be wrapped in a classic bezel setting with silver all the way around it. These are your style options:

• Gems dangling individually like charms or pendants from a dainty and minimal bail. Not recommended when you choose more than 2 stones or 2 stones and a coin or tag.
• Gems set directly in the chain (horizontal), so they don't dangle but lie flat against your skin.
• Split dangle: 2, 3 or 4 birthstones on top and 1 (or more) dangling on the bottom

Add your personal inscription

• 6 mm coin (handwritten symbol or initial up to 3 characters).
• 12 mm x 5 mm tag (handwritten engraving up to 6 characters, vertical)

Your necklace coin can be engraved with initials or a symbol and comes with a hammered pattern on the edges. If you'd like to add more inscriptions, you can choose an engraved tag to add your personal dates, names, initials, coordinates or a love message. All personalization is done by hand.

Choose your chain and length

Choose between our dainty link chain or rope chain, as shown in the photos. We can make any necklace length. If you don't see the length you want, choose 'other' and leave a note at checkout to let us know what length you need. Each necklace can be shortened up to 3.5 cm (1.4") with a special extension chain.

We're making this for you, from scratch

As your silver birthstone necklace will be made to order, there's a production time of 6 to 8 weeks.

The base price is for a single birthstone necklace. Each additional birthstone is $20 extra. There's a surcharge for more expensive gems like diamonds.

Since your custom birthstone necklace will be made especially for you, we don’t accept returns.

Free mockups beforehand

You can get up to three free mockups for your necklace before we start making it. We’ll show you different layouts and gemstone placements so you can see what feels right. You can tweak the necklace design until it matches your vision. No surprises, just a necklace that feels entirely yours.

Pictures when it's done

Once your custom birthstone necklace is finished, we’ll send photos before it ships so you can make sure it’s everything you imagined. Please make sure our emails land in your inbox and not your spam folder to avoid delays.

Recycled sterling silver

We work with a local refiner who recycles silver from post-consumer sources like old jewelry, silverware, and even silver recovered from x-rays and medical waste. This doesn’t stop new silver from being mined (most silver is a byproduct of other metals), but it does cut emissions by about 8x compared to newly mined silver. It also keeps what already exists in circulation instead of letting it go to waste.

Want to join in? If you have old silver jewelry or silverware gathering dust, bring it to our showroom. We’ll recycle it and give you shop credit in return.
