The Blue and Yellow Sapphire Ring in Silver looks like someone cut a piece out of the sky and left the weather inside. The blue sapphire is crossed with streaks of silk, pale lines and clouds suspended inside the stone. Then tiny yellow sapphires run along the band like the first bit of sun breaking through. I could stare into this one for a very long time.

Blue and Yellow Sapphire Ring in Silver

The center sapphire was mined in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, and later cut by a female gem cutter at Paradise Gems in Sri Lanka. She gave it an asymmetrical fancy cut, almost like a kite turned on its side. The silk stayed too. Tilt your hand and those internal streaks shift through the blue like clouds, contrails and weather seen from very far away.

Sapphire has long carried meaning around wisdom, truth and seeing your way through. I love that this stone makes that idea less tidy. Clarity doesn’t always mean a perfectly clear view. Sometimes you look through the clouds and know enough to keep going.

The little yellow sapphires from Tanzania bring hope into that story, small points of warmth running along either side.

This ethically sourced Indonesian sapphire ring also carries the journey of the hands behind it. We work directly with Dayak sapphire miners in Central Kalimantan, where gemstones are recovered manually from alluvial deposits. From Indonesia it travelled to Sri Lanka to be cut, then back to us in Indonesia to become this sustainable sapphire ring in recycled sterling silver. You can trace the sapphire through real places and real hands.

Recycled sterling silver

We work with a local refiner who recycles silver from post-consumer sources, like old jewelry, silverware, and even silver recovered from x-rays and other medical waste. This doesn’t stop new silver from being mined (most silver is a byproduct of other metals anyway), but it does cut emissions by about 8x compared to newly mined silver. And it keeps what already exists in circulation, instead of letting it go to waste.

I gave birth a few months ago, and really struggled with postpartum depression in the immediate aftermath of the birth. As Mother's Day approached I decided I wanted to wear our son's birthstone on a ring as a reminder that I love him even when things are rough and I'm mentally not there. Then I decided I'd really like my husband's and my birthstone on the ring as well, flanking the center birthstone. I reached out to Gardens of the Sun and Maharani was fantastic! I don't have really an eye for design, so I told her to pick a few designs and we'd go from there. She provided several options and we iterated from there. Maharani was so responsive, and the designs came back fast every time! I ended up changing the center stone shape to one Maharani suggested and it was the right choice!! It took about the quoted time to produce, and it came via DHL in just a couple of days after being shipped from Bali, which was awesome, and the package arrived in excellent condition. It's such a beautiful ring, and I'm glad I changed up the center stone shape - I love it! I will definitely order custom jewelry again from Gardens of the Sun! The ring is high quality, but the price was shockingly affordable. A great balance of quality and price, and I love the unique stones. One more treasure 😍

I fell in love with two rings a few months ago. One of them came from a "secret designs VIP sale". I went on the Website but it was already sold out 😭
I was looking for jewelry as close as possible to the rings as they appeared on the pictures and I asked Maharani if the Gardens of the Sun wonderful team could create them. Maharani double-checked with the team if they still had the stones, and their jewelry designer started working. I received the mockups, I made a choice and ... ta daaaa ! 😃
Then, I got a mail with a link : several pictures of my first ring were waiting for me 😍 It's something I do appreciate ! As everything was OK, my order was shipped ... and I got it quickly.

My custom Made birthday ring is beautiful. Definately five stars!
I gave four stars because the production time that was more then twice as much then promised (4 months) Which naturally can happen due to circumstances but I wasn’t informed about it proactively. Gardens of the sun offered me a good service recovery, so I am happy with that, only next time, don’t offer it as a reaction but in advance and provide updates on the status.
But still very happy with the product!!

I have followed Gardens of the Sun on Instagram for quite some time and I knew I wanted a custom birthstone ring. I loved their simple but super chic designs but I chose them especially because of their ethical values. I wanted my ring to symbolize me, my husband and my daughter so it was really special to me. I chose the shape of the stones and it took me forever (I am an indecisive libra lol) but I couldn't really picture my ring in my head. So I emailed them and the lovely Maharani was so kind with me, I told her about what I was indecisive about and asked her for a mockup of my ring so I could see It before purchasing it. She was so helpful and sent me not one but two mockups of my ring, one based on my final "decision" and the other design I was indecisive about. Turns out she was right to do so because when I saw them I decided to go with the other one!! (Even if they were both Amazing!). Thank you I am beyond happy with the result! It is so dainty and perfect!! And thank you for the packaging as well, so lovely!! I Will buy again!!
