We’re making this for you, from scratch
Your custom kite diamond ring will be made to order with the kite diamond of your choice in around 8 to 12 weeks. You'll receive a photo before we ship it out. The price is for one finished ring in recycled sterling silver. You can upgrade to our signature ethical gold and add additional rings and diamonds as you please.
Since your rose cut kite diamond ring will be made especially for you, we don’t accept returns on custom orders. You can read our return policy here.
Your custom design
Metal
You can choose from recycled sterling silver, 18 karat yellow gold, 18 karat rose gold or 18 karat white gold. We use 18 karat ethical gold, which is mined and processed with traditional, mercury free, low impact practices by indigenous Dayak women in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, who receive fair pay. Our 18 karat white gold is alloyed with palladium. This white gold has a warm gray color. If you prefer that white metal look, we recommend adding rhodium plating for $50.
Recycled sterling silver
We work with a local refiner who recycles silver from post-consumer sources, like old jewelry, silverware, and even silver recovered from x-rays and other medical waste. This doesn’t stop new silver from being mined (most silver is a byproduct of other metals anyway), but it does cut emissions by about 8x compared to newly mined silver. And it keeps what already exists in circulation, instead of letting it go to waste.
Want to join in? If you have old silver jewelry or silverware gathering dust, you can bring it to our showroom. We’ll recycle it and give you shop credit in return.

Setting
You can choose between a bezel setting, which has the gold all the way around the stone and a prong setting, where small claws hold the stone. Not sure which setting is right for you? Compare bezel vs prong setting here.
Ring set or ring stack
Would you love to have a kite diamond ring set or kite diamond ring stack? Add a V shaped nesting band or open diamond ring, or both. Create a kite diamond engagement ring and add the matching wedding band right away.

Want to add some extra sparkle? Pave diamonds in the ring band can really elevate the look of your ring. Choose between salt and pepper diamonds (the rebellious budget option) or white diamonds (G-H color, SI clarity).

Conflict free diamonds
The diamonds used in this jewelry have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions. Based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds they are conflict free and mined in accordance with the Kimberley Process.
Gardens of the Sun goes beyond conflict free. Since our sourcing policy came into effect in November 2018 we only purchase diamonds from known origins. We avoid sourcing diamonds from Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Russia (last purchased in 2019), Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.

Kite diamonds for you to choose from
KD34 - 0.66 ct brown kite diamond
Opaque and wonky chocolate brown diamond. Because it's rather a high profile stone for a rose cut, a bezel setting is best used here. There's a small chip or pit around the girdle of the stone that would no longer be visible with a bezel setting. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 6.3 x 4.8 x 3.6 mm.
KD38 - 0.79 ct - salt and pepper kite diamond
Asymmetric salt and pepper kite diamond, heavily included with a fun Dalmatian pattern. ond with a fun dalmatian pattern and so much depth in this stone. Measures 6.6 x 5.9 x 3.4 mm.
KD41 - 0.82 ct - greenish gray kite diamond
The gold you choose will help bring out the cooler tones in different ways. This one is my favorite among the kite cut diamonds we carry. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 7.4 x 6.1 x 3.0 mm.
KD44 - 1.41 ct - salt, pepper and chili diamond
Milky diamond with cloudy white, orange and black inclusions. Small nick at the top is reflected in the price. This nick can be covered with a well-positioned prong. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 8.4 x 6.4 x 4.2 mm.
KD45 - 1.24 ct - ash and fire kite diamond
This diamond has it all. A translucent champagne body filled with black carbon and hints of fire. Pure magic. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 8.0 x 6.7 x 3.6 mm.
KD52 - 1.51 ct - green kite diamond
This yellowish green kite diamond has some surface reaching flaws. Some nicks at the back mean you're getting a killer deal on this one. Set in yellow or rose gold with sparkling white diamonds on the side for a unique green diamond engagement ring. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 10.6 x 6.7 x 3.6 mm.
KD55 - 0.26 ct translucent kite diamond
A translucent white kite diamond featuring some gorgeous light gray inclusions. It’s small and gives off an elegant, transcendental vibe. Because it’s rather thin, we recommend a bezel setting for this one. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 8.8 x 5.5 x 1.1 mm.
KD56 - 0.28 ct milky white kite diamond
This milky white kite diamond reflects hints of blue, green, and pink when you see it under certain lights. Effortlessly charming and makes for a simple, elegant engagement ring. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 6.7 x 3.9 x 2.7 mm.
KD57 - 0.36 ct marbled kite diamond
A translucent kite diamond with swirling gray inclusions that produce a stunning marbling effect. Recommend a bezel setting. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 7.4 x 6 x 1.3 mm.
KD58 - 0.38 ct salt and pepper kite diamond
This translucent kite diamond features some salt and pepper inclusions that make it look grayish from a distance. But look closer and you can make out the distinctive pattern within this gemstone. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 8.0 x 5.4 x 1.5 mm.
KD59 - 0.42 ct gray kite diamond
A gray kite diamond that has dark vignetting around the edges and appears more translucent in the center, creating a gorgeous gradient. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 7.9 x 5.0 x 1.7 mm.
KD60 - 0.45 ct speckled kite diamond
This translucent kite diamond has specks of gray inclusions which concentrate on one of the edges and pepper throughout the rest of the stone. It has a large surface area that would be striking in your engagement ring design. Great value for money because of its large surface area. The downside is that this is a thinner diamond, so recommend a bezel setting over a prong setting. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 11.6 x 7.0 x 0.9 mm.
KD61 - 0.46 ct confetti white diamond
A milky white kite diamond with all the charm. It is filled with white inclusions and glitters from all directions. This is for those who want maximum sparkle in your diamond - like a crackled ice cube. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 7.9 x 4.4 x 1.9 mm.
KD62 - 0.51 ct dark salt and pepper kite diamond
A dark gray kite diamond that is slightly lighter and more translucent in the center, giving off a unique and irresistible charm. Mined in Botswana, cut in India. Measures 8.1 x 5.3 x 2.0 mm.
KD63 - 0.60 ct pentagon salt and pepper diamond

This large kite diamond features vine-like dark gray inclusions that branch outward from the top and center. Has a sleek and otherworldly glow.
