Rough Garnet Necklace with Hidden Gems
A January birthstone, garnet symbolizes loyalty, sensual energy, and friendship. Give it to a friend to make sure you’ll meet again, or to celebrate the second year of marriage.
Garnet choices:
- Hessonite garnet, ethically sourced from Tanzania. Different shades of warm yellow to deep orange.
- Montana garnet, ethically sourced from a sluice in Montana, USA. Opaque, deep red.
- Idaho garnet, ethically sourced from Emerald creek in northern Idaho, USA. Warm red, a little more translucent than the Montana garnet, with hints of burgundy and purple undertones.
Each rough garnet necklace features 5 gemstones and can be shortened up to 3.5 cm (1.4") with the special extension chain.
The pendant itself is made of recycled silver, the silver content might be slightly higher than sterling silver. The chain and lock are made of regular sterling silver.
As the gemstones are natural, uncut and rough, the colors and size might slightly vary.
The length you want out of stock? Select "pre-order your size". Just add a note during check-out to let us know what length you prefer and we'll make it for you in around 4 to 8 weeks. We make these in small batches so the turnover time may vary.
Garnet
Garnet is a January birthstone. It's a symbol of self love and fertility, said to give protection against bad dreams and crazy exes. Recycled sterling silver
We use recycled silver from Umicore. This company is listed as a Conflict Free Smelter by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMA), Chain-of-Custody certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), and complies with the LBMA Responsible Ag Guidance. We opt for recycled silver as an interim solution while we look into setting up a traceable supply chain for artisanal, pollution free silver.

This was my engagement ring and I love it ! True to size. Went down a little like recommended and it fits perfectly. Packaging was really sweet with fun details about the stone. Giving only 4 stars because I had to pay extra shipping fees for "remote area delivery" although the carrier they ship with regularly ship to my house and I never heard about my address being considered remote. Also, please note the gems are more of a dusty blueish tone. Although it's perfect for my taste and a color I really enjoy, the pictures represented show more of a white pearlescent tint than what I received. I'm very satisfied regardless but it's something that might bother someone else.

I'm deeply sorry about the additional shipping fee and I understand your confusion. Please know that the shipping price stated upon checkout is the shipping price that Gardens of the Sun and FedEx has agreed to ship to the recipient country. Normally, FedEx or other shipping carriers are able to ship our packages to any address within the country without additional cost.
However, unfortunately, certain shipping carriers have their own policy and reasons why some areas are considered remote, hence the more expensive shipping fees. In cases like this, we'd find another shipping carrier that doesn't consider the recipient's address as remote so our clients don't have to pay for the extra shipping fee. It's unfortunate that your address is considered remote by both FedEx and DHL. You can find the list of areas FedEx and DHL consider as remote through these links:

I ordered this as my wedding band and its absolutely beautiful! I had to get my size made and the team was so nice and quick to respond, when I mentioned it was a wedding band they let me know about potential rubbing with a lower set engagement ring (not an issue for me) but it was great they communicated that. Its so beautiful and feels so me, I couldn't love it anymore!
