Custom Rose Cut Montana Sapphire Ring in Silver
Design the dream ring for the woman of your dreams. And if you're here, it must be because it's important to you and her that the ring she wears for the rest of her life has been ethically made and sourced.
Choose your favorite sapphire
The sapphires were mined in Dry Cottonwood Creek, Montana, and then heated in the USA. Many of them have orange coloration due to higher levels of magnesium in those areas of the crystal. Each stone was cut by hand in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka.

Sapphire setting
- Classic bezel setting with the silver all the way around the sapphire.
- Classic bezel setting on a double band with the sapphire set in between two of the daintiest round bands that come together at the back.
- Prongs
Band shape
- Half round band, flat on the inside and rounded on the outside, for a comfortable fit. Around 1.8 mm wide.
- Round band, this band tends to spin more and is not recommend if your knuckles are wider than the part of your finger where the ring sits. Around 1.3 mm wide.

Your custom sapphire ring will bemade to order with the rose cut Montana sapphire of your choice inaround 5 to 8 weeks. You'll receive a photo before we ship it out. The price is for one finished ring or ring set in sterling silver.
Since your ring will be made especially for you, we don’t accept returns on custom orders.
Recycled sterling silver
We work with a local refiner who recycles silver from post-consumer sources, like old jewelry, silverware, and even silver recovered from x-rays and other medical waste. This doesn’t stop new silver from being mined (most silver is a byproduct of other metals anyway), but it does cut emissions by about 8x compared to newly mined silver. And it keeps what already exists in circulation, instead of letting it go to waste.

- MSS17 - 1.03 ct, measures 7.2 x 6.1 x 2.8 mm, constantly transitioning from clear to yellow, generously sprinkled with salt.
- MSS18 - 0.96 ct, measures 7.4 x 5.6 x 2.2 mm, a lovely, light lemon sapphire that can only shine brighter once its met its soulmate.
- MSS20 - 0.60 ct, measures 7 x 5.2 x 1.7 mm, a trapped bubble is contained within this clear sapphire, use a white gold band to frame this captured moment.
- MSS21 - 1.12 ct, measures 7 x 6.2 x 2.5 mm, a rounded hexagonal sapphire, light aquamarine in color with blooming clouds contained within.
- MSS22 - 0.62 ct, measures 6.8 x 4.8 x 2 mm, a cheerful lemon under the bright summer sun. A gorgeous true yellow sapphire that requires no other ornamentation.
- MSS23 - 1.23 ct, measures 7.7 x 6.8 x 2.5 mm, a light yellow shocker of a sapphire, with visible lines inside, bold and unapologetically beautiful.
- MSS25 - 2.64 ct, measures 11.5 x 9.9 x 2 mm, the biggest sapphire in this collection, this blueish green colored gem captures clouds, and preserves memories.
- MSS26 - 0.99 ct, measures 7.6 x 6.3 x 2.2 mm, almost a light, milky aquamarine in color, this sapphires is dreamy and whimsically wistful.

Now we can't believe in that many orders (probably 50 items!) That everything has been perfect? Once, and only once, did I describ my custom ring in an unclear way. For that, I am so thankful that GOTS send a preview photo for your approval before shipping! I saw the photo and realized I explained my concept in a confusing way. I'm very happy with how my ring turned out and the excellent customer service at Gardens of the Sun. I'll give some context on why i chose Gardens of the Sun. I had gotten married and my husband and I bought each other simple wedding bands. The entire process of getting married was very simple and happened fairly quickly, we had no engagement and thus no engagement rings and our ceremony was a quick solemnisation witnessed by 50 of our closest friends and family members. My husband wanted to gift me with another ring, this time with a diamond or gemstone topping it. And because of my picky nature, he let me choose the shop and design myself. Of course I wanted a gorgeous ring but what was equally important to me were three additional requirements: I wanted the ring to come from a small company, not large brands like Tiffany; I wanted the ring to improve and support the community it operates it and not just profiting the owners; and I wanted all the components of the ring to be sourced ethically. It was mightily difficult to find a company that meets my requirements and falls within the budget so I was very much over the moon when i found Gardens of the Sun on instagram!
I can't emphasize enough how beautiful the ring in person, I gasped when I first saw it. The gemstone is a 2.44 carat sapphire sourced from Tanzania. I love its details like the minor inclusions and how in different lights, it could look mossy-green or verdant green.
Thank you to the team, especially Rissa for patiently answering my numerous queries! If you're considering getting a custom ring, do it! My only advice is that it does take quite a long time (at least 10 weeks) so do factor that into your timeline!

I absolutely love my mystery bundle. I never would have ordered these items myself but somehow they are perfect! I feel joy every time I look at my glowing heart ring.
