I'm deeply sorry about the additional shipping fee and I understand your confusion. Please know that the shipping price stated upon checkout is the shipping price that Gardens of the Sun and FedEx has agreed to ship to the recipient country. Normally, FedEx or other shipping carriers are able to ship our packages to any address within the country without additional cost.

However, unfortunately, certain shipping carriers have their own policy and reasons why some areas are considered remote, hence the more expensive shipping fees. In cases like this, we'd find another shipping carrier that doesn't consider the recipient's address as remote so our clients don't have to pay for the extra shipping fee. It's unfortunate that your address is considered remote by both FedEx and DHL. You can find the list of areas FedEx and DHL consider as remote through these links:

I hope you understand that the remote location pricing is beyond our control and we don't have a system yet to automatically integrate the price with FedEx and DHL remote location pricing. Hopefully, a system like this will be available in the future. We'd absolutely use this to deliver a better customer experience on our website.

Yes, our rough opals have slightly different base colors and different colorful flashes. I'm so glad to hear that you love the opal shade in your ring and that it fits perfectly on you!
