We’re making this for you, from scratch

Your custom shield diamond ring will be made to order with the diamond of your choice in around 8 to 12 weeks. You'll receive a photo before we ship it out. The price is for one finished ring in 18 karat eco gold.

Your custom ring design

Metal

You can choose from 18 karat yellow gold, rose gold or white gold. We use 18 karat ethical gold, which is mined and processed with traditional, mercury free, low impact practices by indigenous Dayak women in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, who receive fair pay. Our white gold is rhodium plated.

We use US ring sizes.

Setting

You can choose between a bezel setting, which has the gold all the way around the stone and a prong setting, where small claws hold the stone. Not sure which setting is right for you? Compare bezel vs prong setting here.

Diamonds in band

Want to add some extra sparkle? Pave diamonds in the ring band can really elevate the look of your ring. Choose between salt and pepper diamonds (the rebellious budget option) or white diamonds (G-H color, SI clarity).

Engraving is on us

We offer complimentary engraving on the inside of your ring to personalize it even more. Our team will reach out to you after your purchase for details.

Conflict free diamonds

The diamonds used in this jewelry have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions. Based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds they are conflict free and mined in accordance with the Kimberley Process.

Gardens of the Sun goes beyond conflict free. Since our sourcing policy came into effect in November 2018 we only purchase diamonds from known origins. We avoid sourcing diamonds from Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Russia (last purchased in 2019), Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.

Is it an engagement ring?

Are you planning on using this as an engagement ring? Ask us to keep the exact measurements of your diamond. This way, if you decide to also get a wedding band or nesting band from us, we can help make sure it fits perfectly.

BGEO5 - 0.52 ct triangle diamond from Borneo, Indonesia. Graded as very light greenish color (O-P), slightly included (SI2). Measures 5.40 x 4.25. x 2.89 mm and comes with a LPSB lab certificate. A shield cut diamond that stands strong, a staunch defender of the bountiful earth. This glittering shard of nature is a superhero looking for someone with a great love for the environment to partner with.
BGEO15 - 0.70 ct shield diamond from Borneo, Indonesia. Graded as faint yellow (K), included (I1), measures 5.61 x 5.47 x 3.69 mm and comes with a LPSB lab certificate. Bags of sass and a wink to die for, this diamond flaunts her speckles like Marilyn Monroe and her infamous beauty spot. Swish a dramatic skirt and run downtown for a fun night out!
BGEO16 - 0.57 ct shield diamond from Borneo, Indonesia. Graded as fancy brown orange, very slightly included (VS2), measures 6.01 x 4.27 x 3.13 mm and comes with a LPSB lab certificate. A summer blush colors this diamond. Bright and beautiful, and glitters the way you always thought diamonds should. A heartstopping number.
BGEO18 - 0.715 ct shield diamond from Borneo, Indonesia. Graded as fancy brown, slightly included (SI1), measures 5.30 x 5.27 x 3.26 mm and comes with a certificate from the South Kalimantan Gem Laboratory. More champagne than brown, this dizzy diamond is just fizzing with energy. Secure it with a bezel setting and take it on adventures. It wants to see what's around the corner.
BGEO22 - 0.74 ct opalescent white diamond from Botswana, cut in India. Included with an internal flaw, 6.4 x 5.6 x 3.1 mm. This chubby shield cut diamond makes the most enchanting ice castle. The icy glow gives this diamond a mysterious edge.
BGEO24 - 0.77 ct, an earth-toned diamond from Borneo, Indonesia. Slightly included, measures 5.71 x 4.60 x 3.59 mm and comes with LPSB certificate. Cinnamon and spice and all things nice. This brilliant cut light brown diamond in the shape of a house is a sweet tonic that takes things up a thousand notch with little to no effort. Ask us to add a little door to celebrate moving in or buying your first home together. Graded as I2 clarity, fancy color and fair cut (modified shield cut).

The diamonds in this collection come with a diamond certificate, diamond memo, or certificate of origin. The diamond memo is less complete, and issued for the smaller diamonds of lower value. This diamond certificate is made by the LPSB lab certificate, which is a government lab, or by the South Kalimantan Gem Laboratory, a women-owned gem lab. Both labs employ GIA Graduate Gemologists.
