Your custom spinel ring will be made to order with the spinel of your choice in around 8 to 12 weeks. You'll receive a photo before we ship it out. The price is for one finished ring in 18 karat eco gold.

Conflict free diamonds

The diamonds used in this jewelry have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions. Based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds they are conflict free and mined in accordance with the Kimberley Process.

Gardens of the Sun goes beyond conflict free. Since our sourcing policy came into effect in November 2018 we only purchase diamonds from known origins. We avoid sourcing diamonds from Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Russia (last purchased in 2019), Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.

• SPI01 - 0.63 ct custom octagon cut spinel from Myanmar. Light lavender color. VVS clarity, high quality cut by Jeffery Davies and Son brings out all the sparkle. Measures 5 x 5 x 3.2 mm. 
• SPI07 - 0.64 ct periwinkle spinel. Mined in Myanmar, custom cut by Jeffery Davies and Son. Eye clean. Measures 4.94 x 3.47 mm.
• SPI25 - 0.91 ct octagon cut spinel from Sri Lanka. Steel blue color, some visible inclusions. Measures 5.8 x 5.8 x 3.7 mm.

Oval spinel

• SPI03 - 0.82 ct oval spinel from Myanmar. Pale periwinkle pink color. VVS clarity and excellent cut by Jeffery Davies and Son. Measures 6.70 x 5.11 x 3.21 mm.
• SPI04 - 0.80 ct oval spinel from Myanmar. Lavender to mauve color. VVS clarity and excellent cut by Jeffery Davies and Son. Measures 6.45 x 5.13 x 3.40 mm. 

Cushion cut spinel

• SPI10 - 0.74 ct steel gray spinel, mined in Myanmar and custom cushion cut by Jeffery Davies and Son. Eye clean. Measures 5.93 x 4.74 x 3.30 mm.
• SPI70 - 1.24 ct smokey gray spinel from Sri Lanka. Cushion cut, with a crystal trapped inside its belly. Measures 7.1 x 5.6 x 4 mm. Since this stone has a higher profile, an open bezel setting would be the most elegant choice. A regular bezel setting or basket prong setting may look bulky.
• SPI73 - 1.21 ct square cushion cut spinel from Sri Lanka in a gray color with steel and mauve undertones. Measures 5.7 x 5.7 x 4.3 mm. Since this stone has a higher profile, an open bezel setting would be the most elegant choice. A regular bezel setting or basket prong setting may look bulky.

Round spinel

• SPI11 - 0.67 ct brilliant cut round spinel in a French rose color. Eye clean. Mined in Myanmar, high quality cut by Jeffery Davies and Son. Measures 5.00 x 3.43 mm.
• SPI26 - 0.92 ct midnight blue spinel from Sri Lanka. Eye clean, tiniest scratch on surface. Measures 5.8 x 5.8 x 3.5 mm. 
• SPI34 - 0.98 ct deep blue spinel from Sri Lanka. Eye clean, slightly wonky cut. Measures 5.7 x 5.7 x 4.0 mm. Since this stone has a higher profile, an open bezel setting would be the most elegant choice. A regular bezel setting or basket prong setting may look bulky.
• SPI36 - 0.99 ct pinkish purple spinel from Sri Lanka. Included clarity. Measures 6.4 x 6.4 x 3.2 mm.
• SPI39 - 1.01 ct deep purple spinel from Sri Lanka. Eye clean with a dark shade of purple that gives the gemstone a mysterious and elegant look. Measures 5.9 x 5.9 x 3.8 mm.
• SPI40 - 0.85 ct cornflower blue spinel from Sri Lanka. Eye clean, rather deep pavilion.  Measures 5.2 x 5.2 x 4 mm. Since this stone has a higher profile, an open bezel setting would be the most elegant choice. A regular bezel setting or basket prong setting may look bulky.
• SPI43 - 1.07 ct bright purple spinel with pinkish undertones and a silky glow. Mined and cut in SriLanka. Measures 6.1 x 6.1 x 4.1 mm. One of my personal favorites! Since this stone has a higher profile, an open bezel setting would be the most elegant choice. A regular bezel setting or basket prong setting may look bulky.
• SPI44 - 0.75 ct rose purple spinel from Sri Lanka. A vibrant and cheerful color, slightly included clarity and a sparkling round cut. Measures 5.6 x 5.6 x 3.1 mm.
• SPI45 - 0.72 ct blue spinel from Sri Lanka. Included clarity but gotta love that color - blue with a light wash of steel undertones. Measures 5.3 x 5.3 x 3.6 mm. 
• SPI46 - 0.84 ct bright purple spinel from Sri Lanka. Measures 5.4 x 5.4 x 4.2 mm. Since this stone has a higher profile, an open bezel setting would be the most elegant choice. A regular bezel setting or basket prong setting may look bulky.
• SPI49 - 0.95 ct smokey purple spinel from Sri Lanka. Lavender undertones. Eye clean. Measures 6 x 6 x 3.6 mm.
• SPI51 - 0.76 ct cool lavender spinel from Sri Lanka. Rather deep pavilion, so I’d suggest opting for an open bezel setting for this gem. Measures 5 x 5 x 3.9 mm. Since this stone has a higher profile, an open bezel setting would be the most elegant choice. A regular bezel setting or basket prong setting may look bulky.
• SPI75 - 0.64 ct round spinel from Sri Lanka. Grayish purple color for an icy cool vibe. Rather shallow cut so a bezel setting would work well on this gem. Measures 5.9 x 5.9 x 2.8 mm.

Radiant cut spinel

• SPI13 - 0.81 ct intense purple spinel from Sri Lanka. A simple scissor cut brings out its slightly silky hue and dusky glow. Eye clean. Measures 6.4 x 4.3 x 3.3 mm. 
• SPI14 - 0.71 ct long rectangular spinel in a blueish purple color. Mined and cut in Sri Lanka. One visible inclusion. Measures 7.1 x 4 x 2.5 mm.

• SPI19 - 1.07 ct rectangular spinel from Sri Lanka. Dark purple color. Eye clean. Measures 7.3 x 4.8 x 3.4 mm - nice size. 
• SPI20 - 0.61 ct rectangular radiant cut spinel in a saturated bluish lavender color. Mined and cut in Sri Lanka. Eye clean. Measures 5.7 x 4 x 2.7 mm. 
• SPI24 - 0.65 ct purplish blue spinel in rectangular cut. Charming saturated indigo color and visible inclusion. Mined and cut in Sri Lanka. Measures 6.9 x 3.9 x 2.5 mm.
• SPI32 - 0.93 ct reddish purple spinel from Sri Lanka. This rectangular scissor cut spinel is dark and smoky, with a deep color. Pair with diamonds to really bring out its mysterious shades. Measures 7.5 x 4.2 x 3.2 mm.
• SPI38 - 0.84 ct medium purple radiant cut spinel from Sri Lanka. Measures 5.8 x 5.1 x 3.4 mm.
