You two packed your bags, slept under trees, sang on stage, cried into the moonlight. You were swept away. This life she brought, it was never going to be ordinary.

There's no shortage of possibilities. This is your chance to design your own natural pear diamond engagement ring or self love ring. When you've chosen the diamond that speaks to you, we'll make the ring for you in around 6 to 8 weeks. You'll receive a photo before we ship it out. The price is for one finished ring in 18 karat gold.
Your pear diamond can be set up with the belly and angle facing up (vertically or north-south) or sideways (horizontally or east-west).
We can use a bezel setting (with the gold all the way around the diamond) or prongs. Our white gold is rhodium plated, and the rhodium plating tends to wear off the prongs. So white gold prongs need more care and maintenance. An open bezel setting goes around the girdle (edges) of the diamond, but exposes the bottom and sides of the stone and will make it sit a bit higher.
You can choose a half-round band (most popular option) or a round band (tends to spin more, so not recommended if you have larger knuckles).
And for that little extra sparkle, you can choose to add tiny Canadian origin diamonds in the band on one side or each side.
We can use four prongs or a five-prong setting for bigger diamonds.
We use 18 karat eco-gold, which is mined and processed with traditional, mercury-free low-impact practices by indigenous Dayak women in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, who receive fair pay. We mix this gold ourselves, in-house. There may be minor color variants between rings, as the gold we receive from the miners also has small variations in level of refinement and still contain some trace metals.
The diamonds in this collection come with a gem lab certificate or memo. The diamond memo is less complete, and issued for the smaller diamonds of lower value. This diamond certificate may by the LPSB lab certificate, which is a government lab, or by the South Kalimantan Gem Laboratory. This is a women-owned gem lab. Both labs employ GIA Graduate Gemologists.
Is this an alternative engagement ring? Ask us to keep the exact measurements of your stone, so we can make a nested wedding band that fits perfectly around your ring.
I recently bought a 1.5 carat blue diamond that was color enhanced and I thought I was taken advantage of because it wasn’t a “natural” diamond. After reading your article I feel much better about my purchase and will have the stone mounted.
This is my second nesting band from Gardens of the Sun. I love how they work with a variety of other rings. Well made, it will last forever. Thank you so much!
I am so very grateful for Sovi and the rest of the Gardens of the Sun family...what a beautiful experience and an absolutely breathtaking engagement ring, handcrafted to perfection. And don't even get me started on the ring box! What a blessing it was to find a box that is just as beautiful as the ring that was inside.
I will forever be grateful for my Gardens of the Sun adventure and cannot wait to share this beautiful ring with my beautiful darling.
Thank you again for everything :)
My partner and I actually designed this ring together to be my engagement ring because he was worried about picking a ring without my input (I would be the one wearing it forever, not him). The whole process of designing the ring was incredibly easy because we could look at all of our options and take our time in deciding what stone(s) and which style we wanted exactly. Not only was the designing process easy and less intimidating than going to a store, but it was awesome to be able to know where exactly each of the materials were sourced, and the process in which it would be made. I love knowing that this ring was made ethically by a company that truly cares about every step of the process, from the point at which they received the materials to the point where I received the ring. We are so happy we decided to make our engagement ring through the team at Gardens of the Sun because this future heirloom deserves its story of being made without conflict by a company that is devoted to changing how jewellery can and should be made.
